I thought I would take a nice, relaxing break this December. I hadn’t heard much from my clients and did not do much pitching.
However, December is always a busy and profitable month for us, for some reason. We don’t work in sales-type careers (unless you count my books), but for some reason, there is always last minute work needs, and we are suckers to always saying yes (note to self: say no more in 2017).
I am so grateful to God for the extra work, since December is also a higher spend month, despite my best efforts.
Highlights of December
December was a great month. In the beginning of the month, I was sitting on a chair in a gun shop waiting for my husband to shop and drool over the guns. At that moment, I was hit with so many emails of good news – Blondie 3 was finally finished and ready to go live, Forbes featured my piece, and a dream brand asked me to work for them.
I just wanted to cry tears of joy and praise the Lord. I held back my tears because crying while your husband is looking at guns might send mixed messages.
